2013-02-18 - What Would a Healed Man Say?
When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven." (Mark 2:5)
As a paralyzed man, everyday I have to depend on someone else for the slightest thing. Not anymore. I've made up my mind; I am going to be well. No more excuses. I will not accept or believe this is all that life has for me. Especially since Jesus is visiting the city, and has the power to heal me. I am glad my friends have agreed to take me to see Jesus. Once I can walk, my life is going to be different-remarkably different.
Words escaped me upon meeting Jesus face-to-face. He told me my sins were forgiven. Some religious leaders in attendance thought Jesus' actions were blasphemous, claiming only God can forgive sins. Jesus wondered why it bothered the men so. He proved His words, by telling me to get up, pick up my mat, and go home. I jumped up and pushed my way through the crowd. In my mind, I have pictured myself walking a million times. Today, the dream finally became a reality.
Lord, Now is the time for You to do amazing things in my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
