[CF Devotionals] 2013-09-09 - What Would Solomon Say?

For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, And He ponders all his paths. (Proverbs 5:21 NKJV)

We are not an afterthought to the Lord. It is comforting to know that God watches over us. When it seems no one is available to listen to our questions, concerns, or triumphs, our Heavenly Father is always nearby. He isn't someone we go to just to fix our messes. He wants a relationship with us. God is not going to tell our secrets. He is safe. He wants to be there, cheering as we stumble, walk, or gallop on life's journey. Once we accept the Lord's involvement, He's ready for the long haul.

Our paths can be short, long, narrow, or bumpy. Whatever our present journey, we can start to trust God in the everyday moments. As our creator and navigator, the Lord will provide the strength we need. God will keep us content when we put all our energies toward relying on Him.

Lord, You lead my life today. I set aside my agenda and schedule, and ask that You direct my steps. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
