2015-12-21 - What would a Believer Say?
I will keep my eyes on Jesus. (Hebrews 12:2)
We can be confident, knowing Jesus came to Earth to save us, His people, from our sins. (Matthew 1:21) God didn’t want us punished eternally for our mistakes, so He sent Jesus in our place - to take our sins, our lacks, sicknesses, and burdens as His sins, lacks, sicknesses, and burdens - so we could be free of error. Contrary to some popular belief, God doesn't take great pleasure in seeing His children fail. He isn't sending trials and tribulations purposely, to trip us up. God is not spiteful like that.
We all need someone in our corner, and I pray you will see Jesus as that being. He serves as an encourager we can stand behind and trust. Jesus has been fated to be our freedom maker. For Jesus can relate to how we are feeling. He was oppressed, afflicted, and was a lamb led to slaughter. He is the only way we can experience liberty. "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." (John 8:36 NKJV)
Lord, Thank You for always being there.
