[CF Devotionals] 2016-05-14 - Victorious

If we are to believe the apostle Paul, that God causes us to triumph, (see 2 Corinthians 2:14) why do I still get into messes? How can a human triumph?

As a believer, I trust that God is the means by which we triumph. His objective is for you and me to be successful. (Psalm 40:5, Jeremiah 29:11) I believe God is not out for me to fail. God wants even know-it-alls to succeed.

God is always there. The same Lord, who made Old Testament figures Joseph and David prosperous and successful, is available to us. It's difficult to remember this fact, when the Lord is invisible to the human eye. If we stop in the mist of the chaos and talk to Him, we win, because He guides us in the battle. For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to give you victory." (Deuteronomy 20:4 NIV)

Lord, I put everything aside, to talk to You. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
