2016-06-04 - What Would King Cyrus Say?
May God, who has caused his Name to dwell there, overthrow any king or people who lifts a hand to change this decree or to destroy this temple in Jerusalem. (Ezra 6:12a NIV)
It was my first year on the throne and I announced the degree to rebuild God’s house. It only seemed right to rebuild the Temple. God was the One who gave me this empire and we should honor Him. The Temple would have a strong foundation, specific measurements, and new wood floor. As king I was very specific in my commands. All the people of Jerusalem should have a part in working on the building, I didn’t just mean physical labor. People can provide finances, transportation, make clothes, or offer supplies for the workers. I myself am working on the Temple and not just on paper. I vowed that all gold bowls and other valuable items originally taken from the Temple would be returned. I didn't want anything left to chance.
Lord, You need to be all I need, all I desire. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
