2016-07-25 - What Would Someone Pray?
Out of the depths, I cry to you, Lord; Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. (Psalm 130:1-4)
I thought Jesus died for my past. Then why is it haunting me? Why can’t I let it go? Lord, I truly repent. I have asked You for forgiveness before and said I’m sorry, but I ended up doing it again. I ask You now for a repented heart. I truly want to turn away from the wrong things in life, things that aren't best for me. I don’t even know the extent of how much they control my life.
So Father, I pray You will be working on things for my good, and that the enemy will have no control on things that pertain to me. I’m on the road to expose some lies, and replace them with truths for cleansing and healing.
I know You see me hurting. I know You know me better than I know myself. I know that You know what to do about my unsaid situation. I just don’t want to blow it again. I want Your approval, and I want to be happy. I want to know You are working on this. I won't give up - like You never give up on me.
Am I really a changed person? I look in the mirror, and I’m beginning to accept what I see. Thank You, God! Amen.
