[CF Devotionals] 2016-10-01 - The Importance of Prayer

First I would like to thank those of you who are also on the CFPray list, and have been praying for me. I'm doing much better. As the doctors told us all along, they knew I would get better. Guillain-Barre is slow but sure, and I am about 90% well now.

Luke 5:16 --"But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed."

Luke 6:12 --"One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God."

How often do we make time to talk to God? Do we turn to God only when we cannot find a way to solve our problems by ourselves? When do we seek out God?

Jesus made time in His busy schedule, to talk to His Father. Jesus withdrew from the crowds and busyness of life, to pray to God. Jesus knew the importance of seeking a quiet place to have a conversation with God. Jesus was recharged and reenergized. Today, we need to do the same thing. We need to take time from our busy lives, to find time to schedule a conversation with our Father in Heaven.

Have you made time today?
