2017-03-05 - Set An Example
The brief Book Of Titus is a set of instructions from the Apostle Paul to his "son in our common faith," Titus. Paul left Titus on the island of Crete, to finish the work begun on a missionary visit. Paul gave Titus several instructions on what to teach the new converts. In Titus 2:7 Paul says, "In everything, set them an example by doing what is good." Paul sums up what he expects of Titus, by telling Titus to live out his faith by example. It is one thing to tell people how to act and live out their faith. And it is a different matter to show them, by doing it by example.
Today, we are still called to live a life of faith. The Bible has many instructions on how we are to act and behave. One of the best ways to show our faith is to set an example for others. Are you setting a good example? Will people know that you are a Christian by your actions?
