2017-03-27 - What Would a Woman Say?
“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’” (Luke 15:8-9)
Look at this place! My home is in such disarray - and all for a tiny coin. I put the coin in a safe place, so safe that I thought I would remember where it is. I have checked every crevice, and still no sign of it. I need that coin. A coin may seem inconsequential to you, but to me, it's very important. I've asked God to pinpoint exactly were the coin is. I know He knows where I have placed it. Why hasn't the Lord answered me? The money is nowhere to be found.
I don't want to waste any more time searching aimlessly. Besides, I am running out of places to look. I have exhausted too much time already. Searching seems futile. I must be blind. Perhaps I need to take a break, to collect my thoughts. I am determined to not give up; however, a rest isn't going to harm anything.
At long last, I found my precious coin! I don't know how it ended up here. I'll keep a better eye on things, from now on. I am so happy and relieved. I am truly thankful and glad I didn't give up. I must go tell my friends how the Lord helped me. I can't keep this good news to myself.
Lord, I need to believe that what You are doing is best for me. I will try not to second-guess You. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
