[Calvary Chapel] 2019-12-21 - Year-Round Christmas

- - - - - - -

Luke 2:11 (NIV) Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

Each year, radio stations begin playing Christmas music around Thanksgiving. Some stations even start around the first of November. On several music apps, there are stations that play Christmas music year-round.

Similarly, some people celebrate the Christmas season for a month or a few weeks a year. We concentrate on the Christmas story and the good feeling of the holiday season. We give to charities. More people attend church during the Christmas season than almost any other time of the year, except maybe Easter.

Shouldn’t we celebrate Christmas every day of the year? After all, we are acknowledging the birth of Jesus who came to save us from our sins. The spirit of Christmas should extend for the entire year.
