Some of us believe that rest is a four-letter word. We feel guilty when our bodies and / or minds are not busy. But that is not God's intent. He built rest into His Law, into His spiritual providence for us and even into His creation. One definition of rest: The Greek word in Matthew 11:29, is anapausis, "cessation, refreshment." Physical Rest

Exo 20:10 (NNAS) But the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you.

Gen 5:28-29 (NNAS) Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and became the father of a son. Now he called his name Noah, saying, "This one will give us rest from our work and from the toil of our hands arising from the ground which the LORD has cursed.
