Christian Fellowship 1997-06-11 - Restoring The Hurting Heart

Psalm 41:4 "I said, "Lord be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against Thee." (KJV)

How often do we Christians stop and think about what we say and do? Have youever wondered about what you see and hear? Do I, in my daily doings, ask myself, "What is this doing to my soul?"?

Sin causes a dark blot in our souls that alters our thinking. Sin places a roadblock between us and God.

Thank God that there is a cure!!

1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (KJV)

Do you have sin hiding in your soul? Confess it. Give it to God.

Only then can we be healed. Then, along with David, we can thankfully say, "He restoreth my soul." (Psalm 23:3a)

Oh, Lord, I thank You for Your mercy. I thank You for the love you show me continually by Your willingness to forgive me when I fail You. I thank You that there is nothing I can do that could take me out of Your hand. I thank You most of all that You are willing to forgive me when I say, "I'm sorry."

I Love You, Lord By Laurie Klein:

I love You Lord And I lift my voice
To worship You Oh, my soul, rejoice!
Take joy my King In what You hear
May it be a sweet, sweet sound In Your ear.
