[CF Devotionals] 2019-04-02 - Acting Boldy

- - - - - - -

2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)--For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

As Christians, we often face situations which require us to take action. We may encounter someone who needs help, such as the man the Good Samaritan helped. We may meet a stranger along the road who needs to have the Bible explained, such as Peter did to the Ethiopian. Or we may run into a giant adversary who needs to be handled, such as David and Goliath.

Paul tells Timothy, in 2 Timothy 1:7, that God did not make us to be timid. We are to be bold in our thoughts and actions. Paul says that God gives us "power, love and self-discipline." God places situations in our paths, which call for us to act. Are you acting boldly for God?
